EMINENCE, KENTUCKY MAY 27, 2008
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
The City Council of the City of Eminence, Kentucky met in a special session on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Eminence City Hall Council Chambers with Mayor Jim Petitt and the following members present: Danny Meadows, Treva Browning, Shawn Bright, and Richard Thomas. Absent were Members Drane Stephens and George Armstrong. Other individuals present were City Clerk Sandra Doane, Police Chief Carey Duncan, Doug Gingrich, Manda Gingrich, Jean Thomas, and Doug Bates.
The purpose of the meeting being called was to present the budget message for fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 and to have a first reading of the budget ordinance for fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
The Pledge of Allegiance was held. Mayor Petitt asked that all cell phones either be turned off or put on vibrate.
Mayor Petitt called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Subject: Budget Message – Mayor Petitt presented the fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009 budget and read his corresponding budget message.
Subject: Budget Ordinance – Clerk Doane held the first reading of the budget ordinance for fiscal year July 1, 2008 through June 30, 2009.
With no further business to be discussed, motion made by Member Meadows and seconded by Member Browning to adjourn. All members present voted “Yea”. Meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
