EMINENCE, KENTUCKY MARCH 4, 2008
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
The City Council of the City of Eminence, Kentucky met in a special session on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Eminence City Hall Council Chambers with Mayor Jim Petitt and the following members present: Danny Meadows, Treva Browning, Shawn Bright, Drane Stephens, and Richard Thomas. Absent was Member George Armstrong. Other individuals present were Doug & Manda Gingrich, Jean Thomas, Brenda Chism, Donald Aldridge, Attorney William Brammell, City Clerk Sandra Doane, Police Chief Carey Duncan, and Assistant City Clerk Robin Mullins.
The purpose of the meeting being called was to discuss the swimming pool bids, to discuss the swimming pool commission; to discuss the swimming pool grant and to hold general swimming pool discussion.
The Pledge of Allegiance was held.
Mayor Petitt called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m.
Member Meadows asked why the meeting was being held without all the members being allowed to be present. Motion made by Member Meadows and seconded by Member Thomas to postpone the meeting until Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 8:30 p.m. so Council Member Armstrong could be present. On a call of vote by Clerk Doane, all members present voted “Yea”.
Attorney Brammell reviewed the notification requirements to make sure we will be able to meet the requirements.
Brief break taken so City Clerk could prepare and distribute the notices to the Council Members, the Henry County Local and Attorney Brammell. Member Meadows stated he would hand deliver the notice to Member Armstrong no later that 8:30 p.m. on March 4th.
Meeting resumed.
With no further business to be discussed, motion made by Member Bright and seconded by Member Meadows to adjourn. All members present voted “Yea”. Meeting adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
