EMINENCE, KENTUCKY  OCTOBER 4, 2005

SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

The City Council of the City of Eminence, Kentucky met in a special called session on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 6:30 p.m. with Mayor Doug Bates and the following members present: Tom Ferguson, Kevin Harris, Howard Roberts, Laura Whitney, and Leeroy Winburn. Absent was Member Drane Stephens. Also in attendance were Assistant City Clerk Robin Mullins, Attorney Bill Brammell and Jim Winn.

The purpose of the special meeting being called was to discuss a prospective manufacturing firm interested in locating in Eminence and the possible purchase of property by the City and County.

Mayor Bates called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.

Subject: Closed Session - Motion made by Member Ferguson and seconded by Member Harris to go into closed session for the following:

  1. To discuss the future acquisition of real property because publicity would be likely to affect the value of the property and;
  2. To discuss with a business representative a proposal to locate in the city with open discussions being likely to jeopardize the siting here.

All member present voted “Yea”. Closed session commenced at 8:17 p.m.

Open session resumed at 8:17 p.m.

With no further business to be discussed, motion made by Member Roberts and Seconded by Member Harris to adjourn. All members present voted “Yea”. Meeting adjourned at 8:18 p.m.
